Hey! I'm Kat, I'm a single mum to a gorgeous 11-month-old boy (and his dog brother). I'm also a second-year BA student studying Sociology and Psychology. My life feels like a bit of a juggling act so I thought it was probably a wise idea to start a blog because why not give myself more things to do? I want to document my journey being a parent in education, connect with others, signpost available help, offer tips and encourage parents thinking about studying to do it! The Cyber Effect by Dr Mary Aiken is an incredibly insightful book that explores the newly developing field of Cyberpsychology. Much of it explores the effect of technology and gaming on children's brains, though there is also discussion of crime, sex and the deep web. It's a fascinating investigation of the modern world and has really beneficial applications for parents navigating raising their children surrounded by technology. It's something I recommend to everyone!
